A Google Account

  • What is it?
A Google account is an account that gives you access to all the Google services.
  • Why do you need it?
We will be using Google Drive to store files which contain the chapter written by you as well as the edited versions of it from your editor.
  • What do you need to do?
Create a Google account. If you already have a Google / Gmail account then you can use the same. If not, you can sign up for a free Google account by clicking here.
  • How it Will Work
During the creation of the book, you will submit the first draft of your chapter to your editor in the “Uploading Draft 1” form. The editor will go through it and edit it. Once the editor is done, you will be sent the link to the edited version of your chapter over Slack.You need to click on this link and go through your edited chapter. In case you want to suggest edits to this, you can do so by following the steps in the video below. https://vimeo.com/356386490 Once you are done you can confirm the same via Slack to your editor. Your editor will go through the changes suggested by you and get back to you with the new edited version of your chapter after implementing them. Do keep in mind that there will be maximum 3 rounds of edits between you submitting the first draft of your chapter and the final version which will be published in the book. So be thorough in each of your edits.
